This year we have partnered with the White Earth Land Recovery Project to bring The Great Anishinabe Canoe Race to White Earth reservation. We are proud to be sharing this event with our new partners and together we hope to grow the canoe race even more.
Canoe Race Training Camp Dates: Aug. 11-14
Events include • Canoe Race Training • Basket Making • Talking Circles • Ojibwe Language Lessons • Sweat Ceremonies • Drum Making
Canoe Race Age Category & Awards:
10-12 & 13-15 years old : 6 miles Race / Medals & Cash Award
16-23 years old :10 miles Race / Medals, Japan Trip & Cash Award
23-50 years old : 6 miles Race / Medals & Canoe AwardDetails
August 15th and 16th 2009 on the White Earth Reservation in Minnesota.
Registration Deadline is August 1
